I was excited to find your website as I’m a HUGE believer in holistic care, balanced with what the tradtional medicine can provide!

I am 47 years old, live in St Paul and struggle with both migraines (on the average 15 per month) as well as Meniere’s symptoms of hearing loss and tinnitus. I work very closely with two ENT doctors that specialize in Meniere’s conditions (I had pretty major surgery on my left ear 3 years ago and have a permanent hearing loss on that ear but last year, the Menieres began in my right ear and of all things, I’m a sign language interpreter so hearing is of UPMOST importance! :); an almost Zen type neurologist (I’m currently on 2,400 mg of neurontin per day that has reduced my migraines from being over 20 per month), a PHENOMENAL chiropractor who is a believer of how connected our mind, body and spirit work together; and a primary doctor who is just as wonderful as the above people I just mentioned! I feel incredibly blessed with manifesting such amazing medical care but want to continue to my efforts in healing and bringing more balance to my physical form!

Last winter I was introduced by my sister to an EFT specialist in her hometown of Missiouri. Amazing process and I am wondering if you work with this Emotional Freedom Technique at all?

    Thank you in advance!

    Sincerely, Rhonda Jones Schaefer

      Hi Rhonda,

Yes! I have recently begun practicing EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). I also practice Acupressure and Emotional Clearing, which when combined together in a mini-form seem to make up EFT.

I’m glad you’re receiving excellent care from your health practitioners. Please let me know if you have any other questions or if you would like to set up an appointment.

Emmy, I am a friend of Cheryl Gfrerer, and I asked her today if she knew of someone who could do an aura reading on me. She sent me your name (with wonderful comments by the way) and said I should contact you.

Is this something you can help me with? Thanks!!

    Hi Emmy,
I am a 2008 grad of CenterPoint School of Massage and Shiatsu Therapies with a private practice here on St. Paul’s east side. I am also a horticulturalist and have been working as one for the past 26 years…so, as you can probably surmise, I’m a peace loving, harmony seeking kind of girl. I also have a wonderful massage therapist that I trade services with here in St. Paul who has a very loving and tender heart and is a talented therapist. However, I have recently been through a chain of traumatic events and my little anxiety problem (that I come by honestly from my mom and seems more physically driven than emotionally driven) has become a big, fat, scary monster sitting on my chest. I was prescribed Lorazepam to help combat that so I can at least sleep at night. Not my favorite idea but under the circumstances welcome. I was talking to my dear friend and massage therapist who said I really need to get over to see her, and she is right. But it scares me to go because I know there will be emotional release and it feels like it could be overwhelming. So, this morning I got on the internet and googled “emotional release” and your site came up. I realized you were here in St. Paul and I thought it would be good to contact you and look at more options for healing. Can you give me an idea of what direction I can take and your price ranges for your services as well as whether you take insurance or not? I would be very grateful! Thanks Emmy! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Hey there Emmy!

I love your approach and I hope you don’t mind answering a few questions.

I am an OT student at Seton Hall university outside NYC. Also I am a holistic nutrition counselor and also have a love for yoga/ barre work. I have always dreamed of combining my passions and after stumbling across your site I have this sense of possibility within the realm of OT.

What exactly is a integrative medicine practitioner and what are the certifications?

I wish to work with brain injuries because it is what I have volunteered with most of my observation time.

Again thank you for your time and continue doing the amazing and inspirational work you are doing!

I look forward to hearing from you.

    All the best

    Hello Emmy,

I am an OT in NJ and am hoping to obtain a specialty in alternative medicine. My supervisor has asked me to show evidence based literature (as I’m trying to use this specialty as a means for asking for a salary increase) – so I’m wondering if you know of any such literature/studies?

Your private practice sounds fantastic, by the way!

    Thank you,

I need help developing my intuition. I think I may have a block or some past life issue that is stopping me from pursuing this …. I want to develop skills to help others and to talk to spirit. I am drawn to this field, but terrified at the same time. I have tried healing stones, chakra books, psychic/medium books, etc. I “ghost hunt” for fun, but I want to help people and do something bigger than myself. NOt looking to make money or fame. Just want to help others. thank you for your time

I’m interested in finding a highly skilled reflexology practitioner for my wife. She has severe foot issues and needs regular treatment.

    Is this your forte’?

Please provide rate info and do you have package rates for regular patients? If so, please provide them as well.

    Hello Miss Emmy,
I am writing to you because I am troubled with a particular inner issue. I have recently quit smoking after 25 years and my body and ind are detoxing. I am going through a major change and now I am experiencing a serious transformation. Specifically, I am experiencing inner female desires and am not sure how to control this. My mind seems to want to give in to these urges but I keep fighting it off. When I do allow these feelings to surface, I experience a strong sense of what a female truly is, femininity, peace and submissiveness. It feels wonderful, but I am plagued with trying to control it. Not sure if I am making any sense of all of this or if this is something you are familiar with. I think I am sometimes going crazy with all this.

    Hope to hear from you.

My name is Jasmine Powers. I came across your website while searching on additional information on Occupational Therapy. I search for this information for two reasons. One being that my father is recovering from two strokes and I want to be a part of his healing in a holistic way. The other reason, being that I am in a place that I am want to make a career change to what I feel like is more of my passion, which is helping and connecting with people in a personal way. I started perusing a medicine path when in undergrad, I ended up in Occupational Health and Safety which I received a Bachelors and now completing a Masters in Safety Sciences. I am now realizing that there is still something missing. I realize that I desire for one-on-one connection and interaction with people. When I sat with my father in hospital and witness others that were dealing with an unfortunate challenge, I realized that I wanted to help those people, and that I wanted to be a part of my father’s healing path. I have a natural interest in mind-body healing, holistic nutrition, visioning, meditation and other holistic approaches to healing. I saw that you offer monthly phone calls and wanted to know if this is gear towards those that are already in the practice? If so, is there any way that we would connect? I would like to get more information on the role of an Occupational Therapist and possibly pointers on transitioning into that career. I appreciate all of you time and help. Thank you.

    Hi Emmy,
I’m so glad I found your website! You are doing what I’m aspiring to do as an OT. I’ve worked in teaching hospitals for over 15 years and am exploring more holistic and alternative means of offering my services. I would like to learn more about how integrate your talents with your clients. I have experience with CST and am exploring MFR now, but there are so many choices of modalities to choose from, I’m curious to know which ones you use and find most effective with your clients. More importantly is there anything specific you did to enhance skills with intuitive healing methods or was it your experience with CST/MFR, etc.? Any suggestions would be welcomed and would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I’m glad to see there are other OTs in the world that are open and willing to share their experiences with energy healing and holistic health.

    Hello Emmy,

I am an OT and SLP and my passion is exactly what you are doing. I would very much like to use your consulting services to help me walk through this process. Much older than you obviously are, I am nonetheless certain that this type of OT is more about true health than anything I have ever done.

Please advise me of your hourly rates. I am available for appointments after October 16th, by phone. Currently working in Home Health, my goal is to be up by next s

Thank you for calling yourself a Holistic Occupational Therapist! I, too, am a holistic OT practicing traditional outpatient OT while integrating alternative care when it is appropriate and accepted by the patient or client. I teach therapeutic yoga through the medical center where I work as well as private classes and 1:1 yoga therapy. I attend the annual Yoga Research Symposium sponsored by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, which I am a member. I have the honor of representing Professional Yoga Therapy Studies at a meeting of yoga therapy schools in Boston this June, 2013 where new yoga therapy training guidelines will be discussed as this new upcoming profession comes into its own. Also, I had a chance to listen to the phone call with Barbara Neiman on Attunement. Should you be interested in hosting a conversation about therapeutic yoga I would be happy to speak on the subject. Again, I love what you and many of us are doing for our profession!

    Hi Emmy,

I’m interested in doing the first level of guided imagery online. I’m a qualified transpersonal art therapist and counsellor, as well as meditation teacher and understanding more about guided imagery for healing and in therapeutic practice would compliment my work well.
Please let me know when your next class is taking place.

    Best regards,

I was so excited to find your website. I recently was introduced to Young Living oils and have been incorporating them into my family’s way of healing/daily life. I have been out of practice the past 2 years since I have children ages 3.5, 2, and 16 months. Yes, a very busy and crazy life. I sure miss my career as an OT but love incorporating aromatherapy into my family life. This lead me to think of the possibilities as a Holistic OT and I asked myself, how much is this practiced these days? Your websites and articles have been very confirming and exciting! I want to learn more and want to join in on the next teleconference.
This leads me to a question I had…I recently moved to Oregon and I am applying for my license and need about 25 more CEU’s. Since I feel my passion is guiding me towards Holisitic & Wellness OT, what CEU course have you found that are approved? Is there a particular website you could direct me to? I would really appreciate your input 🙂
    Thank you!
    Kristen Griffin
